Noise
Element Update, City of Pasadena
Rincon assisted the City of Pasadena in the update of its
Noise Element. The Element involves a comprehensive update
of technical noise data in support of the policy document,
including analyses of citywide traffic noise, the proposed
Metro Blue Line rail system, the Rose Bowl, and a City-owned
firing range. Rincon’s responsibilities included preparation
of an existing and future conditions report and policy document,
and oversight of a public participation program. GIS analysis
was used to develop and map noise contours, and to locate
the sources of noise sources and complaints within the city.
Surfers
Point Newsletter
Rincon assisted the City of Ventura in creating graphics
for the Environmental Impact Report analyzing the environmental
effects of the Surfers Point Managed Shoreline Retreat project.
Rincon has created newsletters for the City that explain
the effects and status of the project in a clear, visually
interesting presentation readily accessible to the public.
