Shadows (Summer/Winter Solstice) - City of Santa Monica Projects

Rincon has worked with the City of Santa Monica on numerous environmental documents ranging from large-scale office buildings, to smaller, single home construction projects. For each of these projects, the City requires graphics that show the shadows the new building(s) will shed throughout the year. Rincon's graphics team creates models that show the length of shadows for the summer and winter Solstice, the extremes for the amount of light that will be available during the year. These graphics help illustrate what affect the new project will have on surrounding homes and businesses in regards to lighting and aesthetic properties.
