Lompoc General Plan and EIR - City of Lompoc

Rincon is currently preparing a comprehensive update of the City of Lompoc General Plan. The General Plan Update addresses the community's vision for development during the planning horizon, and implemented the programmatic direction of the City's Housing Element at a policy level. The General Plan Land Use Element and Circulation Element Updates focus on the implementation of programs from the Housing Element Update to satisfy State affordable housing standards and on the potential physical expansion of the City in four locations. A Program EIR is being prepared to evaluate the intensification of residential development in the City as a result of implementation of these programs. Following completion of the Land Use Element, Circulation Element, and Housing Element Updates and Program EIR, Rincon will then updated the remaining General Plan Elements, including Conservation and Open Space, Noise, Safety, Parks and Recreation, Public Services, and Urban Design Elements and prepare a Supplemental EIR.
