Commercial Gasoline Station, UST Assessment & Remediation - Santa Barbara

Rincon Consultants has performed assessment and remediation at a former commercial gasoline station in Santa Barbara, California. Rincon prepared a remedial action plan to address the soil and groundwater contamination. A pilot test was completed to assure the viability of the design. Following the successful completion of the pilot test, the full scale remediation was implemented on time and on budget.

The remediation included excavation and segregation of contaminated from uncontaminated soil.  A large diameter auger was used to excavate to 40 feet below grade.  Following excavation, ORC was put into the saturated zone to further remediate the site.
